Yet despite these shifts, Chowrasta continues to retain its symbolic and experiential importance as the soul of Darjeeling—a place best appreciated not through hurried sightseeing, but through slow walks, extended pauses on its benches, conversations over tea, and immersion in the rhythm of the hills.
